Ambulance Private Child, Youth and Cultural Safety Policy
Ambulance Private Child, Youth and Cultural Safety
For children and young people to be safe in our community, they need to be safe in our organisations. That is why we need to work together to create and maintain Child and Youth Safe Organisations.
At Ambulance Private, we are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. We recognise the importance of providing all children and young people with a safe environment during events, patient transport and any other activity involving children and young people.
We believe that all children regardless of difference, deserve:
- to be treated fairly
- to be treated with dignity and respect
- To feel safe and free from harm, abuse, neglect
- To be listened to and taken seriously.
All Ambulance Private staff are expected to always treat children and young people with respect, promote child and youth safety and wellbeing in all actions and build self-esteem by creating a safe positive space in which children and young people can grow.
As an adult and person of authority, always lead by example and be a positive role model to children and young people.
Ambulance Private have a Zero Tolerance Policy against any form of child abuse or child safety related offences.
