Ambulance Private Pty Ltd charges are based on a fixed fee for metropolitan cases and a surcharge for extra travel.   We always aim to be at least 20% under the normal Tasmania Ambulance Service  (TAS) charge (in chargeable cases).

• Unlike TAS, we never charge double for less than 24 hours notice;
• Unlike TAS, we will endeavour to return patients on the one charge following short procedures.

The Tasmanian Ambulance Service do not charge Tasmanian residents unless they are involved with MAIB or Workers Compensation cases.   Tasmanian Ambulance Service do charge selected public and private transfers with a listed exceptions.

The operating licence details various criteria to be met prior to transport.    Each hospital has been made aware of these but if there are any concerns please contact Ambulance Private Pty Ltd discuss your booking.

Ambulance Private Pty Ltd can provide a fully equipped, registered and licenced ambulance for contracts throughout the state.    Skilled staff will be matched to your requirements.

If required, qualified staff only can be provided.

All vehicles carry resuscitation equipment, both portable and fixed.    Cardiac monitors are carried.  No drugs are used and vene-puncture is not licensed.
